A couple of weeks ago, it was Homecoming week here at USU. In USU, traditions are a big part of our culture.

First, let me start off with Homecoming week. Homecoming week is a whole week of activities that help us remember our past, live in the present and look towards the future. Some of the highlights of the week is the street painting. Clubs and associations have the opportunity to sign up and literally paint the street. It has become a competition to see which club has the best painting. And a chance for the clubs to showcase their different cultures.

Another big thing is the Homecoming Parade. This year, I was part of the International Student Council's float. It was so much fun seeing people from the community take part and show their support for USU. We got the chance to hand out candy to children along Main Street and scream and dance to music from various countries. So much fun!

I love homecoming. I love the fact that we have alumni, students, and families get involved in all the activities. This is what it means to be part of the Aggie family. There is no where else I would rather be. Go AGGIES!
